On August 18, the critically acclaimed ENA series “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” came to an end.
The drama attracted a lot of interest and became one of the most watched shows, even giving rise to the “Woo Young Woo syndrome.” On June 26, the drama’s first episode debuted to a 0.9% viewership rating. The fact that the drama was broadcast on the cable channel ENA, which is not a prominent broadcast channel, caused some controversy, but viewers’ word-of-mouth helped the drama progressively gain popularity.
Nielsen Korea’s paid household standards for the final episode’s viewership were 17.5% nationwide, 19.2% in the metro area, and 21.9% per minute, shattering the previous record. This record has increased by 16.6% in comparison to the first episode’s rating, demonstrating the success of the drama.
The show also placed first on Netflix’s TOP 10 ranking and received a lot of interest abroad.
