A sequel project to the 2017 smash drama series ‘Strong Woman Do Bong Soon’ with a bright, emerging star cast is on the way!
According to media sources, Lee Yoo Mi, Ong Seong Wu, Byun Woo Seok, Kim Jung Eun, and Kim Hae Sook have been cast as the stars of ‘Strong Woman Kang Nam Soon,’ a sequel series to the JTBC drama ‘Strong Woman Do Bong Soon.’
‘Strong Woman Kang Nam Soon,’ written by dramatist Baek Mi Kyung, who also developed ‘Strong Woman Do Bong Soon,’ tells the story of a daughter, a mother, and a grandmother, all of whom have exceptional genes that have given them enormous power.
Kim Jung Eun will play Hwang Geum Joo, a justice-obsessed mother on the hunt for her missing daughter. Actor Lee Yoo Mi plays a young woman named Kang Nam Soon, a Mongolian girl yearning for her mother. Actress Kim Hae Sook plays a furious granny butcher, rounding off an eccentric super-family.
On the other side, Ong Seong Wu has been cast as Kang Hee Sik, a detective assigned to a large-scale narcotics bust investigation in Gangnam. Finally, actor Byun Woo Seok joins the cast as Ryu Si Oh, a mysterious adversary.
‘Strong Woman Kang Nam Soon,’ the official sequel to ‘Strong Woman Do Bong Soon,’ will be directed by Kim Jung Sik, PD of ‘Work Later, Drink Now,’ and will premiere in early 2023.
