It is an undisputed fact that Koreans appear significantly younger than their age, owing to their youthful skin and eyes. On our list, however, these Korean actors have tricked the audience by appearing to be 10 to 15 years younger than they actually are.
Here’s a list of actors and actresses who have played high school students in their 30s.
1. Hwang In Youp
He is well-known in hit K-dramas as a high school student because all of his significant roles depict him as a student (18 again, True Beauty, The Sound of Magic, and his upcoming drama Why Her). He is 31 years old right now and seamlessly fits with younger actors depicting all shades of youthfulness and vibrance.
2. Kim Tae Ri
She recently astonished audiences with her current role in “Twenty Five Twenty One,” where she also earned a sizable fan base. Despite being 32 years old, she performed admirably in her debut part as a 19-year-old student.
3. Lee Yeon
She is an exception on this list as she is under 30 but recently showed a remarkable performance as the boy Baek Seung Woo in “Juvenile Justice” drama series, who was played a character under 16 years old but turned out to be an actress born in 1995, who is 27 years old this year.
4. Choi Si Wook
In “Our Beloved Summer,” he played a free-spirited high school slacker who would rather sit in the sun drawing buildings than plan his future. Choi Woo Shik’s opposition to adulthood was remarkable for a 31-year-old grownup.
5. Park Bo Young
30-year-old Park Bo Young perfected the role of Hwan Seung-hee in the 2018 film “On Your Wedding Day,” which follows the key characters’ high school days through maturity over a 10-year period.
6. Ha Ji Won
She appears in the drama series “The Time We Were Not in Love” as the younger version of her 34-year-old character Oh Hana, which is a dramatic contrast to her typical appearance but during flashbacks, we get to see her as an adorable student! Ha Ji Won might’ve been 38 years old at the time of filming, but she certainly looks the part!
