Kim Sae Ron is said to have paid for the expense of repairing a damaged transformer caused by her car accident last week.
In an interview with TV Daily on May 23rd, a representative from Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) stated, “All agreements with Kim Sae Ron have been concluded.” As a result, replacing the electric transformer destroyed by Kim Sae Ron costs around 20 million won (approximately $15,847). Because the accident was caused by a single person, Kim Sae Ron must immediately recompense for all of the damage she caused. According to the KEPCO employee, “Kim Sae Ron contacted us first and conveyed her decision to proceed with insurance.”
The compensation amount only covers the cost of fixing one damaged transformer and does not include any other costs.
Kim Sae Ron had previously been apprehended driving under the influence of alcohol, which caused her to crash into a transformer, guard rails, and street trees before fleeing the scene in Gangnam, Seoul. The catastrophe disabled the surrounding payment system and traffic lights, and it took roughly 5 hours to repair the transformer.
