On July 28th, the first teaser poster for tvN’s new Saturday and Sunday drama “Little Women” (directed by Kim Hee-won/scripted by Chung Seo-kyung) was released.
The poster depicts three sisters, Oh In-ju (Kim Go-eun), Oh In-kyung (Nam Ji-hyun), and Oh In-hye (Park Ji-hoo), who appear to be walking to a brighter place and are surrounded by large shadows.
“Little Women” tells the story of three poor but close sisters who face the wealthiest and most powerful family in Korea. The process of the three sisters, who have been swept away by a massive incident, resolving their life’s homework called “money” is expected to enthrall viewers.
Above all, the collaboration of director Kim Hee-won and screenwriter Chung Seo-kyung, both of whom have made a name for themselves with unrivaled works, is raising expectations. The script was written by Chung Seo-kyung, who has proven her excellent ability to capture human emotions in films such as “The Handmaiden,” “Decision to Leave,” and drama “Mother,” and directed by Kim Hee-won, who is known for her sensual directing skills in dramas such as “Vincenzo” and “The Last of Us.”
Kim Go-eun plays Oh In-joo, the oldest sister who wants to protect her family by making money. Oh In-joo, who grew up in extreme poverty and only dreamed of living as much as others, witnesses an incident that changes her life forever. Nam Ji-hyun plays Oh In-kyung, the second sister who refuses to sell her soul for money. Oh In-kyung is a reporter with a strong sense of purpose and a high level of empathy. When she first starts working as a reporter, she begins to investigate the mysterious case she has encountered. Park Ji-hoo is a newcomer who plays the maknae Oh In-hye. Despite her humble beginnings, Oh In-hye is accepted into a prestigious art high school thanks to her exceptional painting abilities. Having difficulty with her sisters’ love, Oh In-hye is now trying to learn how to live on her own.
