she’s also a very versatile romcom queen- meaning that, while the majority of her works are about love, her roles have evolved from musical actress to high school baddie to PR manager.

We’d like to take you on a tour of Lee Sung Kyung’s works in the list below.

1. Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo as Kim Bok Joo

This had to be her most popular work, as she was oozing a lot of cuteness and as well displayed remarkable strength.

The drama is a coming-of-age story about a group of college athletes who are fighting for their dreams, experiencing and finding love in the process. These are one of the dramas that helps you take a check on your life and move you to push further in your career or field.

2. It’s Okay That’s Love as Soo-nyeo

A troubled adolescent with behavioral issues was expelled from high school and abandoned by her mother. Soo-nyeo works at a cafe with Soo-kwang (Lee Kwang Soo), and she takes advantage of his feelings for her by having him give her money and buy her things.

These are one of the times she looked so colorful and glam even if the role wasn’t depicting a glam situation. It is a healing drama that tells the story of people who have been scarred because they are unaware of or have hidden their mental illness. They learn from one another that they are not the only ones who are suffering. They realize they are not the only ones who are suffering and feeling alone. They understand that humans are lonely and that they want to live rather than die. This is a sweet story that demonstrates that everyone is unique in their own way and not at all strange.

3. Cheese In The Trap as Baek In Ha

Talk about a dramatic being and let’s show you Lee Sung Kyung as Baek In Ha. She played the role of a materialistic older sister who was adopted into Jung’s family as a child and is in love with Jung, despite the fact that he does not reciprocate her feelings.

The drama itself is about a college student juggling her studies and a part-time job while dating an insecure man who manipulates others.

Although Lee Sung Kyung wasn’t the female lead, she sure did steal a lot of attention.

4.  Dr. Romantic as Cha Eun Jae

She must be loving the doctor role as it is not the only drama she starred in as a doctor. In 2016 also she was cast as Jin Seo-woo in ‘Doctors,’ a neurosurgeon who also is literally crazy in love. But in Dr. Romantic, she portrayed a second-year cardiothoracic surgery fellow passionate about the profession, but cannot bear to do surgery without vomiting or passing out.

5.  About Time as Choi Michaela

Playing the female lead role Michaela Choi is a musical actress that has the unique ability to see other people’s life clocks including herself. She meets a man who has the ability to stop time, and he falls in love with her. How fantastically romantic is that?

6. Miss and Mrs. Cops as Ji Hye

This movie is too good to pass up just because it doesn’t come in episodes.

A comedy crime movie where she stars as Ji hye, Mi-yeong’s sister-in-law as well as a rookie policewoman who works at the same center. They team up to solve the case of a young woman who commits suicide and they uncover a network of young men who drug, rape, and film women and then upload the videos of rape on the internet for money.

We get to see her in another shade of funny, thanks to the scriptwriter and the entire PD team for highlighting her talent.
