The whereabouts of actress Im Leezy, formerly known as Lee Hae In (real name Lee Ji Young), have recently become a major topic among netizens due to her controversial YouTube channel “Leezy,” which has over a million subscribers.
On June 29th, Leezy’s YouTube channel reached 1 million subscribers, earning her the Gold Button. There are only about 500 Korean YouTube channels with more than one million subscribers as of 2021.
Furthermore, the total number of views on Leezy’s videos recently surpassed 100 million. Her monthly salary from YouTube is estimated to be 18 million won. It is estimated that she earns around 20 million won from advertising on her YouTube channel “Lee Hae In”
Leezy made her advertising modeling debut in 2005. She was known as Lee Hae In. In 2010, she appeared on tvN’s entertainment show “Roller Coaster,” which was popular at the time, and became known as the “Rol-Co girl.” Her popularity, however, did not last long.
Im Leezy appeared in several works, including the film “Quick” and the MBC dramas “H.I.T” and “Golden Fish,” but received little attention. She attempted to break into the music industry again in 2012, this time as a member of the girl group Gangkiz, but failed to achieve stardom.
Im Leezy returned to YouTube in 2018 after a long hiatus following her role in SBS’s 2016 drama “Witch’s Castle.” She garnered attention on YouTube for revealing her body, which she achieved via Pilates, as well as her variety of skills gained from experience in entertainment activities. However, Im Leezy was chastised for using body exposure as her primary content at some point.
